Beauty- Heavy Metal Eyes

Hey everyone! Today's Beauty post is actually going to focus on a spring beauty trend... metallic eyes. These "heavy metal" looks are seen all over the spring runways, and it gives a certain look of intensity and sleekness that cannot be attained without gorgeous, shimmering eyes. Below are some metallic eyeshadow/liner suggestions that you might want to try out, in order to incorporate this trend.
Know of any other spring 2013 trends? Tell us about them in the comments!

Nars Duo Eyeshadow Vent Glacé- platinum/silver smoke ($34)
Sweep the platinum color on your lid, and then lightly dust in the silver smoke into the crease. Make sure you do no over do it on the metallic, just enough so it catches some attention.

Sephora Collection Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow in Taupe Silver #7 ($16)
This is a wearable color that incorporates the trend as well. It is a nice taupe, that also passes for a silver with shimmer. The product itself is very unique because it shares the qualities of a cream, baked, and power shadow. Place this on your lid, mainly focusing on the center, to draw light and dimension to the eye.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Pencil in oil slick ($19)
This creamy black eye liner with silver glitter acts as a wonderful accent to the shadows above. Draw a fine line on the lash line to bring a bit more shimmer to the overall look.

Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar Top Coat is ultra-shiny and dries in literally 45 seconds
The Body Shop Midnight Bakula Body Wash is a clear shower gel with fun white beads that add texture, and a wonderful, clean, floral, woodsy scent that lasts forever!
Sabon Creamy Carrot Scrub is very luxurious and moisturizing with nice scrubby beads for exfoliation and a lovely, earthy, unique scent.
Lush Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub is a sea salt scrub that removes dead skin, cleans with bubbles and leaves a yummy, zesty scent
Burt's Bees Soap Bark and Chamomile Deep Cleansing Cream is gentle enough for sensitive skin, but also does wonders when removing redness. It's also quite refreshing.
Dove Go Fresh  (I've had Cucumber Green Tea and Winter Care) are really moisturizing and nourish dry, sensitive skin. They lather into a thick foam that leaves you feeling clean and always with a nice scent.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil/Concealer (even though they're two different products, I felt like they belonged in a pair). Each have the tree oil (obviously) which is an awesome blemish treatment. Apply the oil as a spot treatment on pimples, then leave the house with the tea tree concealer covering it up! It not only conceals, but also heals :)
Benefit They're Real Mascara provides lashes with volume and serious length. It really does look like your wearing false lashes with only one swipe… it gives major drama!
Brazilian Blowout Açai Deep Conditioning Masque is like no other deep conditioner. I have tried quite a few hair products and this goes above and beyond. Hair is left so silky and smooth that you really won't believe it!
Lush Lust Soap is a little bit on the sweeter side, but not overbearing. It is also a strongly jasmine scented soap, which I love, and has glitter for a bit of sheen.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid with SPF 15
This is a light moisturizer that does it's job well and has the added bonus of SPF 15. It's not greasy and soaks into skin fast, but you are left moisturized and sun protected!
Estée Lauder Gentle Eye Makeup Remover thoroughly removes eye makeup without leaving a residue, and is perfect for sensitive skin because it is amazingly gentle and fragrance free.

Beauty- The Perfect Shade for your Eye Color

Hey girls! Today's beauty post will focus on what color eye shadows and liners best compliment your eye color.  We have four basic eye colors: Blue, Green, Hazel, and Brown. Each of these colors can be paired with any eyeshadow you want, and it will look beautiful, but in this post we are really just looking at a few colors that tend to make those eye colors pop. Enjoy! Xoxo- The Glam Girls

Blue Eyes: Terra-cotta. By even just putting a bit on your lash line, it will brighten your blue eye color

Green Eyes: Purples. There are so many shades of purple to choose from, and all will make your green eyes shine. Using multiple shades of purple can also make a nice smokey eye.

Hazel Eyes: Golds and Greens. Gold is always beautiful, but green may same hard to pull off. Luckily, if you have hazel eyes, you have a great chance of making green look great. I suggest mossy, muted greens for a more natural look.

Brown Eyes: Gold, Copper… anything that is warm and metallic. Warm metallic colors will bring out any golden flecks in brown eyes, and enhance the rich brown color you already have.

Fashion- What does the color of your clothing say about you?

Red: Bold, intense, passion
Pink: Romantic, gentle, tenderness
Yellow: Happiness, joy, sunshine

Blue: Tranquil, confidence, calm
Lighter shades, like a light turquoise (shown in picture): femininity
Purple: Royal, mysterious
           Lavender: femininity, grace, elegance
Orange: Energy, warmth, vibrance
Green: Healthy, fresh, spring-y, earthy/natural
Black: Sophistication, formality, power

Fashion- Jewelry To Go!

Hey everyone! I few weeks ago we did a post on how to organize your jewelry, and we thought that this week we might add onto that by showing you some perfect travel jewelry cases. All of these are at fair price points and keep your jewelry safe and sound while you're away. Which travel case is your favorite? Tell us in the comments below! Xoxo- The Glam Girls
Also, be sure to give us any fashion post requests!

I like this jewelry case because...
a) I love the cute bow and print (other prints available too!)
b) all the different compartments it offers (special spot for rings, necklaces, bracelets, and extra pockets)
c) perfect size! Small, but holds just enough of everything for at most a week

This case holds a ton of stuff and offers many pockets to place all sorts of jewelry, no matter how big or small (as you can see, it easily fits a large watch). I suggest this case if you plan on taking quite a bit of jewelry with you on your trip. Yes, it could be classified as small, but don't underestimate the amount it can hold!

This is a very basic "Travel Jewelry Roll" design that keeps jewelry in a safe, compact case. It ties neatly and is made with delicate velvet that will not scuff up any precious jewels you may want to put in it.

Beauty- Lush's Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub Review

Hey girls! Today I am going to be reviewing one of my favorite products from Lush, Rub Rub Rub. I purchased this myself over the summer and really enjoyed its citrus scent and super exfoliating qualities, and then was given this as a birthday present and find myself still in love! Hope this is helpful! Xoxo- Paris
Price: $21.95
Color: Light Blue
Scent: Lemon and Mimosa Blossom (quite citrus-y)
Texture: Thick shower gel with lots of coarse salt
How to Apply: Take a generous scoop (a whole handful should do) of the scrub and rub all over body. It should exfoliate and bubble like a shower gel. For the most bubbly results, use a loofah!
Benefits: Extremely soft skin. You should smell absolutely divine. Super clean because also a gel … it's a wonder product, and worth every penny!

My Overall Rating:

Product I want to try next:
Twilight Shower Gel… from the Christmas collection!

Fashion- Betsey's Sweet Studs

Hey girls! I have some very exciting news… Betsey is back online! As many of you may know Betsey Johnson has gone out of business, but a few days ago I received an e-mail from them, which had a link to their new site. I started browsing the jewelry section and came across a bunch of adorable stud earrings. I really like that she has used pave diamonds, as it gives a super girly, sparkly look to these sweet stud earrings. In the comments, tell us which earring is your favorite. Xoxo- Paris
I love the delicate crown shape with sparkly, pink pave diamonds!
These look like stars more than flowers to me, but either way I love that there are different shades of purple pave diamonds on the lilac background.
I absolutely love the color of the pave diamonds on this pair, the blue is just so light and refreshing!
